Building digitization refers to the process of converting physical buildings and their surroundings into digital models. At qapture, we use advanced technologies such as laser scanning to create precise 3D models and digital twins. These digital representations make it possible to precisely analyze the condition and structure of buildings, efficiently plan and manage construction projects and carry out targeted maintenance work. Building digitization improves transparency, efficiency and quality throughout the entire life cycle of a building.
Various advanced devices are used for building digitization in order to collect precise and comprehensive data. The most important of these include:
Laser scanners: Capture detailed 3D point clouds of the physical environment to create accurate digital models.
Mobile mapping systems: Capture large amounts of data quickly and efficiently using integrated sensors while moving around or within the building.
The interactive accessibility of the Digital Twin is provided by a web viewer, where all those involved have quick and easy virtual access to the building and all relevant information remotely during the entire renovation or restructuring phase. The web viewer also enables the quick creation, delegation and continuous monitoring of tasks. IoT data, live sensors and heat maps can be integrated in real time. Thanks to the link with SAP, recorded data can be seamlessly integrated into existing systems. This enables efficient use and further processing. And saves time.
This means that no additional software needs to be installed.
The on-site scanning is remarkably fast. Using mobile mapping technology, we can capture large areas, often up to 37,000 m² (400,000 sqft), in a single day with minimal disruption to your ongoing operations.
